We'll publish a final, plain-English policy before general public launch. This draft covers how Common Aim handles your data today.
1. What we collect
- Account info — your email, display name, avatar, and optional bio.
- Goals and content — goals, milestones, daily check-ins, contributions, community posts, and resources you create.
- Community memberships — which communities you belong to and your role in each.
- Basic technical data — IP address, browser type, and basic usage analytics so the app works and we can improve it.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not collect financial account credentials — bank links are a preview mock.
2. How we use it
To run the app: sign you in, show your goals, notify your communities when you're seeking accountability, send transactional emails (sign-in, password reset, invites), and keep the service secure.
3. Who we share it with
- Other members of communities you join, scoped to what you choose to post or share.
- Service providers we use to run Common Aim, including our hosting + database provider, email delivery infrastructure, and OAuth providers like Google when you choose them for sign-in.
- Legal requests when required by law, in good faith.
4. Cookies and analytics
We use minimal cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. We don't run advertising trackers.
5. Your rights
You can update your profile and goals from inside the app at any time. You can delete your account from the profile page — this removes your account and personal content. Some content posted into communities (e.g. messages others may have responded to) may be retained in anonymized form.

6. Children's privacy
Common Aim is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has signed up, contact us and we'll remove the account.
7. Security
We use industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest, and we restrict access to your data to people who need it to operate the service.
8. Changes
We'll let you know about meaningful changes by email or in-app notice.
